Job summary

Base-2 Solutions seeks a Senior Java Developer to modernize a critical government information system. You will work on enterprise Java apps on Windows-based VMware, upgrading Solr with ZooKeeper, Tomcat, Directory Studio, Oracle 19c, and SAP BI components running in a secure environment.

The role involves collaborating with security, infrastructure, and business teams to ensure upgrades with minimal disruption while applying secure coding practices and, ideally, PrimeFaces UI experience.

Qualifications

Expertise in enterprise Java applications on Windows-based VMware infrastructure.
Experience with Python and secure coding practices for government environments.
Experience upgrading Solr clusters with ZooKeeper and migrating Solr index data.
Experience with Tomcat and Directory Studio; Oracle 19c integration.
SAP BI reporting framework experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Plan and execute upgrades of enterprise Java applications in secure government environments.
Develop Java/Python components on Windows-based VMware infrastructure.
Modernize legacy code to current standards and best practices.
Implement secure coding practices per government requirements.
Upgrade Solr clusters and migrate index data during version upgrades.
Manage Tomcat configurations and deployments; integrate with Oracle 19c.
