Job summary

JPMorgan Chase & Co. is seeking a Software Engineer III in Plano, TX to join an agile team delivering trusted technology products securely and at scale.

You will design and develop infrastructure and application components using Java, Spring Boot, and cloud platforms, while leveraging enterprise AI-assisted tools to improve quality and speed. You will apply modern SDLC practices, write secure code, and troubleshoot across systems.

Qualifications

• Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts.
• Hands-on experience in system design, application development, testing, and ensuring operational stability.
• Hands-on experience using enterprise-authorized AI-assisted software development tools with ability to evaluate, validate, and refine AI outputs for correctness, performance, and security.
• Understanding of responsible AI use in engineering workflows, including data sensitivity considerations and secure handling.

Responsibilities

• Design and build infrastructure components to support technology solutions.
• Leverage AI coding assist tools to improve code quality, delivery speed, and productivity with peer review and secure coding standards.
• Apply knowledge of SDLC tools and AI-assisted development to improve automation value.
• Build application components using Java, ensuring high-quality and secure code.
• Write secure, high-quality code with minimal guidance and consider upstream/downstream impacts.
• Design, develop, troubleshoot with awareness of upstream/downstream systems and implications.
• Design and implement infrastructure and application components on Azure and AWS.
• Support deployments and configuration management for smooth operations.
• Gather, analyze, and interpret large data sets to aid secure, stable application development.
• Learn and apply system processes for secure, stable code and systems.
