Job summary

Helm Point Solutions, Inc. in Ft. Meade, MD is seeking a Senior Java Software Engineer to design and build enterprise Java applications in a fast-paced, mission-critical environment.

You will develop RESTful services, implement automated tests, and work in an Agile/SAFe DevOps setting with CI/CD pipelines, contributing to secure, scalable systems used by national security programs. A TS/SCI with polygraph clearance is required.

Qualifications

• Strong, professional experience with Java and Spring Framework.
• Experience building RESTful web services and backend logic.
• Practical knowledge of relational or NoSQL databases (Oracle, PostgreSQL, MongoDB).
• Experience with automated testing (JUnit/Mockito) and Agile development.
• Familiarity with Git and DevOps practices in SAFe environments.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop enterprise Java applications using Spring and modern frameworks.
• Build and maintain RESTful web services and backend business logic.
• Develop automated unit, integration, and behavior-driven tests.
• Work in a SAFe/Agile environment with sprint planning and CI/CD guidance.
• Collaborate with engineers, testers, and system architects to deliver high-quality software.
• Support deployments to test and production environments using CI/CD pipelines.
