Job summary

Helm Point Solutions, Inc. is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join a government/military oriented team at Fort Meade, MD.

The role requires TS/SCI with Polygraph clearance and offers full-time employment with a salary range of $170,000–$195,000 depending on experience. The candidate will design, test, and optimize software architectures across distributed frameworks using Python, Java, Scala, and C, with emphasis on performance analysis and system monitoring.

Qualifications

• Ten years of experience as a software engineer in similar scope programs.
• Bachelor’s degree required; four additional SWE years may substitute for degree.

Responsibilities

• Design, document and test software architectures and performance.
• Identify metrics and monitoring to support testing and alerting.
• Perform root cause analysis and mitigations for performance issues.
• Develop new capabilities to overcome performance limitations during testing.
• Collaborate with customer metrics and monitoring teams.
