Eliassen Group is seeking a seasoned Java Developer for remote contract work with a strong focus on Java/Java EE and Spring Boot. You will contribute across the full SDLC, including design, development, and testing, while leveraging cloud services and microservices patterns.

Our client seeks a Java developer to manage Java and Java EE application development and contribute across the full software development lifecycle from concept and design to testing.

Due to client requirements, applicants must be willing and able to work on a w2 basis. For our w2 consultants, we offer a great benefits package that includes Medical, Dental, and Vision benefits, 401k with company matching, and life insurance.

Rate: $100.00 to $110.00/hr. w2

Responsibilities

• Define site objectives by analyzing user requirements and envisioning system features and functionality.
• Design and develop user interfaces for internet and intranet applications by setting expectations and feature priorities throughout the development lifecycle.
• Determine design methodologies and tool sets and complete programming using appropriate languages and software products.
• Design and conduct tests.
• Troubleshoot development and production problems across multiple environments and operating platforms.
• Support users by developing documentation and assistance tools.

Experience Requirements

• 10+ years of Java and Spring Boot hands-on development experience.
• Understanding of cloud and event-driven architecture, microservices, and DDD architectural style.
• Hands-on experience deploying applications into AWS.
• Strong understanding of Terraform.
• Hands-on experience designing and developing applications using Java EE platforms.
• Object-oriented analysis and design using common design patterns.
• Knowledge of relational databases, SQL, and ORM technologies such as JPA2 and Hibernate.
• Experience with the Spring Framework.
• Experience developing web applications using at least one popular web framework such as JSF, Wicket, GWT, or Spring MVC.
• Proficiency with Java J2EE and Hibernate.
