Job summary

Luxoft in New Jersey is seeking an experienced Java engineer to drive the development of innovative web and backend services for securities platforms. You will work across web and desktop apps, web services and Linux environments to visualize data and automate workflows.

The role requires deep Java SE/EE expertise, strong Spring skills, and hands-on Linux; you will join a team rewriting legacy components with Spring Boot/Spring Cloud, Kotlin, and Groovy, with focus on scalable,

Qualifications

• 10+ years of commercial Java SE/EE experience.
• Strong Spring (Boot, IoC, MVC, AOP, Security, Data, JDBC, Test).
• SQL/Oracle relational DB knowledge.
• Servlets and containers (Tomcat) and WebLogic understanding.
• CI/CD experience with TeamCity and/or Jenkins.
• Hands-on Linux experience and Bash scripting.
• Analytical mindset and ability to work with teams to solve problems.

Responsibilities

• Develop business and technical features for old and new applications.
• Prototype ideas; rewrite legacy components with Spring Boot and Spring Cloud; Kotlin and Groovy.
• Configure and maintain Windows and Linux environments; patch, monitor, etc.
• Integrate components with internal and external client systems.
• Configure, monitor, and troubleshoot application servers (Tomcat, WebLogic).
• Monitor applications, logs and metrics (ELK, ITRS, Autosys).
• Set up and improve CI/CD (Jenkins, TeamCity, IBM Urban Deploy, Bash).
• Automate routines with Groovy and Bash.
• Write unit, integration, and end-to-end tests.
• Design distributed applications with multi-server deployments and microservices.
