Job summary

Luxoft in Irving, TX seeks a senior Java engineer to build features for web and backend services, focusing on Spring Boot and microservices, with extensive Java EE, Oracle SQL, and CI/CD.

You will work across Windows and Linux environments, integrate with internal and external systems, monitor apps and manage servers like Tomcat/WebLogic, and contribute to migrating to cloud microservices while delivering robust, scalable solutions.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of commercial Java SE/EE experience.
• Strong Spring knowledge: Boot, IoC, MVC, AOP, Security, Data, JDBC, Tests.
• Good SQL/Oracle relational DB knowledge.
• Understanding of Servlets, Tomcat and WebLogic.
• Experience with CI/CD: TeamCity or Jenkins.
• Linux experience: Bash scripting and file/permissions handling.
• Ability to dive deep, propose and implement clean solutions with the team.

Responsibilities

• Develop business and technical features for old and new applications.
• Prototype ideas for internal technical projects and rewrite legacy components with Spring Boot/Cloud.
• Configure and maintain Windows and Linux environments.
• Integrate components with internal and external client systems.
• Configure, monitor, and troubleshoot application servers (Tomcat, Weblogic).
• Monitor applications, processes, logs and metrics (ELK, ITRS, Autosys).
• Set up and improve CI/CD (Jenkins, TeamCity, IBM Urban Deploy, Bash).
• Automate routines with Groovy and Bash.
• Write unit, integration, and end-to-end tests.
• Design distributed applications with multi-server deployments and microservices.
