Job summary

KAYAK is seeking a senior Java developer in Massachusetts to join a project driving data integrations and enterprise solutions. You will own end-to-end design, develop high-quality code, and collaborate with teammates across APIs and databases.

The role emphasizes independent work, strong communication, and experience with Spring/Mybatis and REST/SOAP. Hybrid work in Concord, MA is expected.

Qualifications

6–8 years of Java programming experience.
Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms and software design.
Ability to work independently and with a team.
Good communication for technical and non-technical colleagues.
Experience with relational databases like MySQL or Oracle.
Travel domain experience is beneficial.
Experience with B2B systems or identity/HR integrations (SCIM, SAML/OAuth, SSO).
Experience with Unix shell scripting.
Spring & Mybatis frameworks.
DOM/XPath, JQuery & CSS.
API development using REST, Web Services, SOAP, etc.
Machine Learning is a plus.

Responsibilities

Extract data from databases and write parsing scripts.
Communicate with APIs via REST or SOAP interfaces.
Configure enterprise applications for large customers.
Develop tools to assist in debugging existing products.
Build and maintain high-performance integrations with third-party APIs.
Take ownership of designs from concept to deployment while ensuring code quality.
Participate in code reviews and architectural steering for modularity.
