Job summary

CEI is seeking a Senior Java Engineer to design, build, and support backend services in a microservices environment. You will leverage Java, Spring Boot, and Flowable BPM to implement workflow-driven solutions and integrate RESTful APIs with enterprise systems.

This 6-month W2 contract is on-site in Pittsburgh, PA with potential extension or hire. Candidates should be comfortable working across locations including Pittsburgh and other listed sites.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Java (modern versions) and Spring Boot.
• Experience with Flowable BPM and BPMN workflows.
• Ability to build and maintain BPM-driven automation.
• Microservices architecture and RESTful API development.
• Unit testing and debugging with JUnit and related tools.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services using Java and Spring Boot.
• Design, implement, and support business workflows with Flowable BPM.
• Build and enhance microservices-based solutions aligned to standards.
• Integrate Flowable workflows with REST APIs, databases, and enterprise systems.
• Translate business requirements into maintainable implementations.
