Job summary

Shulman Fleming & Partners in New York City is seeking a 100% hands-on Senior Java Developer to join our equities trading systems team. You will deliver high-performance Java solutions for front-to-back trading workflows, collaborating with traders, sales, and other business users in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires expert Java development, knowledge of front-end tech (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Vue.js), and familiarity with market protocols, FIX, and OMS platforms.

Qualifications

• Strong core Java development expertise with a hands-on approach.
• Solid understanding of front-end technologies including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Vue.js.
• Experience with Python is a plus.
• Good understanding of equities and equity derivatives products.
• Familiarity with trade flow processes and FIX protocol.
• Experience with Quod OMS is a bonus.
• Knowledge of Murex is a bonus.
• Exposure to quantitative finance, especially in volatility, is a plus.
• Strong academic background and/or substantial experience in the financial services industry.
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with business users such as traders and sales teams.
• Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Highly organized, self-driven, and eager to learn and grow professionally.
