Job summary

CBTS is seeking a Senior Java Backend Engineer in Cincinnati to design, build, and modernize enterprise applications for a financial services client. This is a hands-on, autonomous role with ownership from requirements through deployment.

You will work on Java, Spring, Spring Boot, AWS, and containerization using Docker and Kubernetes, collaborating with IT and business stakeholders to deliver scalable software solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor level technical experience or equivalent work history required.
• Strong hands-on Java experience with Spring and Spring Boot.
• Experience with AWS, containers, Docker, Kubernetes, and microservices preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design code and implement technical solutions across environments.
• Develop applications to solve data-driven challenges.
• Own all phases of software engineering from requirements to testing.
• Create reusable components and libraries in partnership with teams.
• Containerize and modernize applications with best practices.
• Code, test, release, and support production data and apps.
• Develop software solutions for complex technical problems.
• Build and automate testing processes.
• Operate with autonomy as a senior engineer.
