Axiom Path, Inc. is seeking a Senior Java engineer to design and build enterprise applications for capital markets. This remote role supports a global financial services organization, focusing on front-to-back systems that handle high-volume events across asset classes.

You will work on event-driven architectures, cloud-native services on AWS/Azure, and data models for trading, risk, and post-trade workflows, with an emphasis on reliability, scalability, and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience developing enterprise Java applications.
• Strong experience building event-driven systems (messaging, asynchronous workflows, streaming).
• Proven multi-asset class data modeling experience across product and event lifecycles.
• Hands-on experience supporting front-to-back capital markets systems.
• Experience with relational and non-relational databases (Oracle, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, NoSQL).
• Cloud architecture experience across AWS and Azure in production environments.
• Experience implementing and maintaining automation and test frameworks (unit, integration, regression).
• Background working in regulated financial services environments.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally.

Responsabilités

• Design, develop, and maintain Java-based front-to-back applications supporting capital markets workflows.
• Build and enhance event-driven architectures processing trade, position, and lifecycle events at scale.
• Model financial products and their event lifecycles across asset classes.
• Develop services that publish and consume events used by risk, P&L, reconciliation, and reporting.
• Work with relational and non-relational databases for transactional and analytical workloads.
• Contribute to cloud-native architectures deployed on AWS and Azure.
• Implement and maintain automated testing frameworks to ensure reliability.
• Troubleshoot production issues in distributed systems using logs, metrics, and tracing.
• Collaborate across engineering, product, and operations in a regulated environment.
