Vestmark, Inc. seeks a Senior Java Software Engineer to build AI-native wealth management software that truly matters. You will think, design, and ship production-grade Java solutions within a squad, using AI-assisted development from day one.

You’ll contribute to scalable architectures, agentic systems, and the full delivery lifecycle—design, development, testing, deployment—and grow your expertise in AI tooling and financial services domains.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Computer Science or equivalent work experience; M.S. a plus.
• 7+ years of professional software engineering experience with a focus on Java development; strong internship experience or personal project work considered.
• Backend Development: Strong expertise in Java and frameworks such as Spring or Spring Boot; RESTful API design and implementations preferred.
• Architecture: Designing scalable and resilient Java-based solutions; experience with modern patterns.
• Data Management: Relational and NoSQL databases (MySQL, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, DynamoDB, MongoDB).
• Troubleshooting: root cause analysis; familiarity with APM tools like Dynatrace or Splunk is desirable.
• Demonstrated AI tool fluency and willingness to evolve with AI-native development practices.

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver agentic AI-native systems and production-grade Java solutions.
• Participate in full delivery lifecycle: design discussions, development, testing, deployment, and iteration.
• Apply AI-assisted development tools and establish standards for AI-native systems, including observability and cost awareness.
• Contribute to reusable foundations; uphold code quality and participate in code reviews.
• Engage in design reviews and architecture discussions; contribute to team growth and core values.
