Job summary

BCforward is seeking a Senior Java Developer for Wholesale Credit Systems in Charlotte, NC. This contract role requires 7+ years of Core Java, Spring Boot, SQL, and UI framework experience, with strong testing and automation skills.

Onsite 3 days a week and started ASAP, the position supports a fast-paced Agile environment. The candidate will design, develop, and maintain services and applications using Core Java and Spring Boot, while leading a cross-disciplinary team and aligning with DevOps

Qualifications

• 7+ years of hands-on Core Java development.
• Proficiency in Spring Boot and related Spring frameworks.
• Strong SQL query development and database fundamentals.
• Versed in UI scripting languages such as JavaScript, jQuery, React, or AngularJS.
• Experience with unit testing and QA automation frameworks (RAFT, Selenium Framework, Cucumber Reports).
• Ability to provide leadership and technical direction to the team.
• Excellent communication and problem‑solving skills.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with scrum masters, SMEs, technology and feature leads, and business analysts to refine initiatives and develop features in Agile sprints.
• Design, develop, and maintain services and applications using Core Java and Spring Boot.
• Write efficient SQL queries and support ETL/database testing efforts.
• Implement unit tests and contribute to QA test automation frameworks, including RAFT, Selenium, and Cucumber/Octane reporting.
• Provide leadership and technical direction to the team and champion Agile/DevOps practices and architectural patterns.
