Base-2 Solutions is seeking a Senior Java Developer to modernize a critical government information system in Reston, VA. You will lead upgrades across the stack, including Java/Python components, Windows VMware, and Solr with ZooKeeper.

Oracle 19c and SAP BI integrations are key, with a focus on secure coding practices. You will collaborate with security, infrastructure, and business teams to ensure minimal disruption while migrating Solr data and maintaining Tomcat deployments in a regulated,

Qualifications

• 9+ years of enterprise Java application experience in secure government environments.
• Experience upgrading complex software in regulated environments.
• Strong knowledge of Oracle 19c database integration and SAP BI reporting.
• Proven ability to upgrade Solr clusters with ZooKeeper coordination and migrate index data.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute technology stack upgrades for enterprise Java applications in secure government environments.
• Develop and maintain Java/Python components on Windows-based VMware infrastructure.
• Modernize legacy application code to current standards and best practices.
• Implement secure coding practices in compliance with government security requirements.
• Upgrade Apache Solr clusters with ZooKeeper coordination.
• Migrate and optimize Solr index data during version upgrades.
