Job summary

Red Arch Solutions is seeking an experienced Senior Java Developer to modernize a critical government information system. You will upgrade enterprise Java applications, develop Java/Python components on Windows VMware, and ensure secure coding practices in a regulated environment.

You’ll collaborate with security, infrastructure, and business teams to minimize disruption, while upgrading Solr, Tomcat, and Oracle 19c integrations.

Qualifications

• Experience in enterprise Java development on Windows-based VMware infrastructure.
• Expertise in Python.
• Experience with Apache Solr with Zookeeper including upgrading/migrating index data.
• Experience with Apache Tomcat and Apache Directory Studio.
• Experience with Oracle 19c relational DB integration.
• Experience with SAP BI reporting frameworks.
• Knowledge of secure coding practices for government/compliance.
• Ability to obtain/maintain TS/SCI clearance (US Citizenship).

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute technology stack upgrades for enterprise Java applications in secure government environments.
• Develop and maintain Java/Python components on Windows-based VMware infrastructure.
• Modernize legacy code to current standards and best practices.
• Implement secure coding practices per government security requirements.
• Upgrade Solr clusters with Zookeeper and migrate index data.
• Integrate applications with Oracle 19c databases and SAP BI frameworks.
• Collaborate with security, infra, and business teams; document designs and procedures.
• Participate in code reviews and knowledge-sharing sessions.
