Base-2 Solutions is seeking a Senior Java Developer to modernize a critical government information system. You will upgrade enterprise Java applications, develop Java/Python components on Windows-based VMware infrastructure, and ensure secure coding practices with Oracle 19c and SAP BI integrations.

The role involves coordinating with security, infrastructure, and business stakeholders to minimize disruption while delivering robust, maintainable solutions. Prior government clearance is required.

Qualifications

• Enterprise Java development experience in Windows-based VMware environments.
• Experience with Python programming.
• Solid experience upgrading Solr indices and clusters with ZooKeeper.
• Familiarity with Oracle 19c relational databases and SAP BI reporting.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute technology stack upgrades for enterprise Java applications in secure government environments.
• Develop and maintain Java/Python components on Windows-based VMware infrastructure.
• Modernize legacy code to current standards and best practices.
• Implement secure coding practices per government requirements.
• Upgrade Solr clusters and migrate Solr index data during upgrades.
• Manage Tomcat configurations and deployments.
• Integrate with Oracle 19c databases and SAP BI reporting interfaces.
