Job summary

Base-2 Solutions is seeking a Senior Java Developer to modernize a critical government information system. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in enterprise Java development and upgrading complex software in secure, regulated environments, including Solr with ZooKeeper, Tomcat, Directory Studio, and Oracle 19c integrations.

You will plan and execute upgrades across the technology stack, collaborate with security, infrastructure, and business stakeholders, and ensure minimal operational

Qualifications

• Must have enterprise Java development experience in Windows-based VMware environments.
• Proficiency in Python and secure coding practices for government/compliant systems.
• Experience upgrading Solr clusters with ZooKeeper and data migration.
• Proven ability to integrate with Oracle 19c databases and SAP BI reporting tools.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute technology stack upgrades for enterprise Java applications in secure environments.
• Develop Java/Python components on Windows-based VMware infrastructure.
• Modernize legacy code to current standards and secure coding practices.
• Migrate and optimize Solr index data during upgrades while coordinating with security teams.
• Manage Tomcat configurations and deployments and integrate with Oracle 19c.
