Job summary

Cloud and Things seeks a Java Developer (Developer Level 3) to support NYS ITS in modernizing the Integrated Eligibility System (IES). The role designs and develops scalable enterprise Java applications that support Medicaid, SNAP, and other health and human services programs.

You will collaborate with architects, analysts, testers, and technical leads in an Agile environment to deliver reliable, compliant solutions.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in Java development and OO design.
• 2+ years in Developer leadership (Level III).
• Experience with Integrated Eligibility System for Health and Human Services.
• Strong knowledge of design patterns and SOLID principles.
• Experience with microservices and RESTful APIs.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and implement high-volume Java applications for the IES modernization program.
• Analyze requirements and define technical solutions.
• Collaborate with product managers, architects, analysts, testers, and stakeholders.
• Participate in all phases of the SDLC and Agile/Scrum delivery.
• Troubleshoot production issues and improve reliability.
• Support deployments and maintain documentation.
• Evaluate emerging technologies to support continuous improvement.
• Monitor performance and optimize memory and networking.
