Job summary

Genesis10 seeks a Senior Java Developer for a hybrid contract-to-hire in Charlotte, NC. You’ll guide a development team, oversee complex Java-based applications, and ensure alignment with business goals. Expertise in Spring, REST, SOAP, and modern web tech is required, with on-site presence three days a week.

Strong OO design, JVM tuning, and experience with monitoring tools like Splunk or Dynatrace are highly valued. Familiarity with MQ and Groovy is a plus.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on software development experience.
• Experience with the Spring Framework (Spring MVC, Spring Boot, Spring Security, Spring Integration, Spring Data JPA).
• Good understanding of SOAP web services and REST/JSON standards.
• Experience building RESTful web services.
• Working knowledge of front-end technologies (Handlebars, Foundation, ReactJS).
• Experience with XML/JSON binding libraries (JAXB, Jackson, GSON).
• Experience with unit testing using JUnit.
• Proficiency with Git, Maven, Nexus and Eclipse.
• Experience with monitoring tools like Splunk and Dynatrace.
• Familiarity with MQ (WebSphere MQ or ActiveMQ).
• Experience in JVM performance tuning.
• Experience with Groovy.
• Strong OO principles and distributed Java/J2EE/Web tech experience.
• Familiarity with Java design patterns.
• Basic knowledge of AI agents for code reviews.
