Job summary

EPAM Systems is assembling a SWAT-style Forward Deployed Engineering team to tackle critical technical challenges across Enterprise Platforms and pioneer AI-assisted software delivery. We seek hands-on engineers who onboard quickly, deliver end-to-end solutions, and leverage modern AI tooling under tight timelines and ambiguity.

Responsibilities include rapid onboarding, production troubleshooting, ownership of feature delivery, AI-assisted development, agent/workflow innovation, and cross-team

Qualifications

• Experience with enterprise-scale distributed systems and microservices.
• Proficiency in Java, Python, Spring Boot, APIs, and Go (Golang).
• Hands-on with AI tooling, structured prompt writing, multi-step AI workflows, and validating AI-generated code.
• Ability to independently take a system from clone to CI/CD integration.
• Strong experience with build tooling and environment/dependency management.
• Proficient in debugging, root-cause analysis, and resiliency under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Rapid onboarding onto unfamiliar codebases and delivering working solutions under tight deadlines.
• Diagnose and resolve complex production issues across distributed systems and microservices.
• Own feature delivery end-to-end from requirements to testing and deployment.
• Use AI tools to generate code, create tests, accelerate debugging, and validate outputs.
• Develop agents and dynamic workflows; improve build pipelines (Gradle/Maven, CI).
• Collaborate across platform teams to resolve incidents and coordinate SWAT engagements.
