Caterpillar Inc. is seeking a skilled Java Developer to design, build and maintain Java-based applications, microservices, and APIs within the MineStar ecosystem.

You will lead delivery using AI-enabled workflows while ensuring security, quality and maintainability. You will collaborate across Product, Engineering and Quality teams to translate requirements into robust solutions and guide production support.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of commercial software development experience
• Hands-on Java development with Spring/Spring Boot
• Experience leading a multidisciplinary delivery team
• Experience applying AI-enabled development tools and agentic workflows
• Knowledge of CI/CD, security and software quality practices

Responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain Java-based applications, microservices and APIs.
• Lead delivery of features using AI tooling and agentic workflows.
• Ensure code quality, security, testing and documentation.
• Collaborate with Product, Engineering and Quality teams to clarify requirements and acceptance criteria.
• Support production operations and perform root-cause analysis for incidents.
