Synechron in Charlotte, NC is seeking a Senior Java Developer to design, implement, and maintain Java-based solutions for mobile apps and database tasks.

You will work with a modern tech stack, containerization, CI/CD, and collaborate with global teams to deliver high-availability software in production environments.

We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Java Developer to join our company. In this role, candidate will design, create, and implement various Java-based solutions for the business that will range from mobile applications to database programming.

The Role

Responsibilities:

• Designing and developing high-volume applications for mission-critical systems and delivering high-availability and performance
• Design, implement and deploy enhancements to platform
• Support and optimize what you and your colleagues have built
• Collaborate with software engineers in other time zones
• Perform regular checks and follow best practices to develop, deploy, and maintain software
• Deployment of new features and products into the production environment.

Required skills and qualifications

• Proficiency in Java, with a good understanding of its ecosystems
• Basic Understanding of the concepts of MVC (Model-View-Controller) Pattern, JDBC (Java Database Connectivity), and RESTful web services
• Relevant Knowledge of Java GUI frameworks like Swing, SWT, AWT according to project requirements
• Using agentic AI for software maintenance
• Experience with container runtimes (Podman, Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes)
• Familiarity with message passing systems such as Kafka and Aeron
• Practicing data-driven optimizations (profiling, metrics collection)
• Working-knowledge of CI/CD techniques
• In-depth knowledge of code versioning tools, for instance, Git
• Understanding of building tools like Ant, Maven, Gradle, etc.
