Job summary

Fidelity Investments Inc. seeks an experienced Principal Software Engineer/Developer to design and implement large-scale, distributed Java microservices using Spring, Kafka, and REST.

You will build CI/CD frameworks with Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Kubernetes, and containerized test environments to ensure reliability across applications. The role emphasizes cloud-native, security-focused, observable architectures using AWS ECS/Fargate, KMS encryption, OpenTelemetry tracing, plus automated recovery

Qualifications

• Proven experience designing and developing full stack Java-based multi-tier architectures.
• Experience with Angular, Spring Boot, Oracle and testing frameworks (Cypress, Jest, JUnit).
• Experience implementing and supporting CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins, Git, Maven, and Kubernetes.

Responsibilities

• Participates in architecture design teams.
• Defines and implements application-level architecture.
• Develops applications on complex projects and subsystems for the division.
• Recommends testing tools and methodologies and validates test plans.
• Ensures QA readiness of software deliverables.
• Develops comprehensive documentation for multiple applications or subsystems.
• Manages full project life cycle plans across platforms.
• Advises on risk assessment and technical strategy.
