Job summary

Fidelity Investments is seeking a Principal Digital Assets Engineer to design and build secure, scalable cloud-native microservices on AWS. You will implement RESTful services, manage data with PostgreSQL, and lead CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins.

The role includes mentoring teammates and shaping technical strategy. Requirements include a Bachelor's or Master’s degree in a related field and 3–5 years (or more) of relevant experience with Java/Spring Boot, Kafka, and cloud platforms.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated expertise designing and developing Java RESTful Web services for enterprise apps using Spring Boot, JMS or Kafka, and AWS cloud.
• Experience delivering CI/CD pipelines and automated testing in Jenkins-based environments.
• Knowledge of relational and non-relational databases (Oracle, PostgreSQL) and Liquibase migrations.

Responsibilities

• Define enterprise digital architecture strategies for the division.
• Develop applications on complex projects and subsystems.
• Write and run unit and integration tests to meet requirements.
• Build scalable, cloud-based systems aligned with long-term strategy.
• Mentor junior team members and advise on technical strategy.
• Develop innovative technical solutions for ongoing development.
