Job summary

Fidelity Investments in the United States is seeking a Principal Full Stack Engineer to design and develop cloud-native applications in an Agile setting. You will automate CI/CD, build scalable web apps using Angular/J2EE, and lead microservices migrations across multiple portfolios.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated expertise developing high-throughput, fault-tolerant batch processes and scalable middle-tier web services.
• Experience migrating legacy monolithic architectures to microservices-based designs.
• Experience with Java, Spring Boot, Groovy, Python, JMS, Kafka, and Oracle/PL-SQL is essential.

Responsibilities

• Writes clean, testable, readable, and easily maintainable code.
• Converts legacy monolithic architecture to a microservices-based architecture.
• Defines and implements application-level architecture.
• Develops applications on complex projects, components, and subsystems for the division.
• Responsible for QA readiness of software deliverables.
• Develops comprehensive documentation for multiple applications or subsystems.
• Establishes full project life cycle plans for complex projects across multiple platforms.
• Advises on risk assessment and risk management strategies for projects.
• Plans and coordinates project schedules and assignments for multiple projects.
• Acts as a primary liaison for business units to resolve various project/technology issues.
• Provides technology solutions to daily issues and technical evaluation estimates on technology initiatives.
• Mentors junior team members.
• Performs independent and complex technical and functional analysis for multiple projects supporting several divisional initiatives.
• Develops original and creative technical solutions to ongoing development efforts.
