Job summary

Synechron in Minneapolis is seeking a senior Java Software Engineer to design, develop, and optimize APIs and cloud-native applications using Java, Spring Boot, and microservices. You will work with stakeholders, write tests, and ensure performance and quality of software.

The role requires 10+ years in core Java, strong leadership, and hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and OpenShift in an AWS/GCP-like environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven 10+ years of IT experience in core Java development and OOPS concepts.
• Hands-on experience with Spring Boot, Microservices, Kafka, and cloud technologies (Docker, OpenShift, AWS).
• Strong leadership, mentoring, and collaboration skills.
• Experience with UI frameworks such as Angular or React and with Linux/Oracle environments.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop APIs using core Java/Spring/Microservices design patterns.
• Develop application code, write unit and integration tests (JUnit).
• Build cloud-native applications and deploy in OpenShift/AWS EKS; support releases and monitoring.
• Collaborate with stakeholders, design teams and downstream systems.
