Job summary

JPMorganChase seeks a Lead Software Engineer within Consumer and Community Banking technology to drive secure, scalable software solutions. You will serve as a core technical contributor, delivering production code, performing reviews, and guiding AI-assisted development practices across multiple business functions.

Qualifications

• Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts with 5+ years of experience.
• Hands-on experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
• Proficiency in Java and Spring framework.
• Experience with cloud technologies and monitoring/tracing tools.
• Knowledge of AI-assisted development tools and responsible AI practices.
• Understanding of CI/CD, application resiliency, and security.

Responsibilities

• Executes creative software solutions and stages design, development, and troubleshooting.
• Develops secure, high-quality production code and reviews others' code.
• Drives adoption of AI-assisted engineering practices to improve quality and delivery speed.
• Applies SDLC tools and AI-assisted automation to increase value of automation.
• Identifies opportunities to improve operational stability and automate remediation.
• Leads evaluation sessions with vendors and internal teams on architecture and applicability.
