Job summary

re-zoo-me is seeking a highly experienced Java Cloud Application Developer to modernize and migrate enterprise apps from on-prem to AWS. This hands-on role requires advanced Java or Scala development, deep AWS cloud-native expertise, and building distributed microservices with Spring Boot.

You will analyze architectures, design migration roadmaps, deliver secure, scalable cloud-native solutions, and develop CI/CD pipelines with GitLab, Spark and Databricks workflows, Docker containers, and

Qualifications

• Hands-on Java or Scala development experience.
• Strong knowledge of Java 8+ Lambdas & Streams.
• Extensive experience with Java EE and cloud-based development.
• Experience building distributed apps with Spring Boot & Spring Cloud.
• Proven AWS cloud-native development experience and services (Fargate, S3, Lambda, Glue, Secrets Manager, IAM).
• Experience with Apache Spark and Databricks Workflows.

Responsibilities

• Re-platform and migrate on-prem apps to AWS.
• Analyze architectures and dependencies to guide cloud migration.
• Design, develop, test and implement secure, scalable cloud-native apps.
• Build distributed systems with Java/Scala and microservices.
• Develop and enhance AWS infrastructure and application components.
• Maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitLab.
• Develop data-processing solutions using Spark and Databricks Workflows.
• Containerize apps using Docker.
• Write advanced SQL for Oracle and NoSQL databases.
• Troubleshoot issues across application, data and cloud infra.
• Implement automated unit, integration and security testing.
• Use tools to validate code quality and address security findings.
• Participate in code reviews and establish development standards.
• Collaborate with stakeholders in an Agile environment.
