Job summary

re-zoo-me is seeking an experienced Senior Java Backend Engineer to design, develop, test, and maintain scalable backend systems using Java and Spring Boot. You will build microservices, REST APIs, and event-driven integrations with Kafka, on AWS, collaborating across product, QA, DevOps, frontend, and other teams.

Ideal candidates have 10+ years of hands-on Java experience, deep knowledge of Hibernate/JPA, AWS deployments, and distributed systems, with strong problem-solving and Agile

Qualifications

• 10+ years of professional software engineering experience with strong Java backend development.
• Strong hands-on experience with Java and Spring Boot.
• Extensive experience with Microservices architecture.
• Experience developing and consuming REST APIs.
• Hands-on with Hibernate / JPA.
• Experience with AWS cloud services and deploying apps to AWS.
• Hands-on with Apache Kafka and event-driven architectures.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable backend applications using Java and Spring Boot.
• Build and deploy Java applications using AWS cloud services.
• Design, develop, and consume RESTful APIs and services.
• Develop database-driven applications using Hibernate/JPA and optimize SQL queries.
• Write and maintain unit, integration, and functional tests.
• Collaborate with product, QA, DevOps, frontend, and other teams.
