Job summary

Talentify is seeking a senior Java developer to join our San Jose team for a long-term contract. You will work on backend services built with Java/Spring Boot, design microservices, and ensure high-quality code with comprehensive tests.

The role emphasizes strong problem-solving, performance tuning of JVM-based systems, and active participation in architectural discussions and CI/CD pipelines.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of professional software engineering experience with 5+ years in Java/Spring Boot backend.
• Strong core Java skills and ability to articulate problem-solving approaches.
• Deep experience with microservices, API design, idempotency, retries, and circuit breaking.
• Production experience with Kafka and data stores; familiarity with SQL DBs.

Responsibilities

• Gathers and verifies technical requirements.
• Authors and audits technical design for features.
• Gathers and audits technical design for features.
• Writes high quality code with full test coverage.
• Reviews code for quality and correctness.
• Leads technical initiatives and reviews designs.
