Job summary

Tecsys Inc. seeks a Senior Java Developer to join a backend team powering mission‑critical supply chains in healthcare, retail, and distribution.

You’ll design, implement, and scale secure, high‑performing services using Java (Spring Boot) and microservices, delivering reliable software for hospitals, pharmacies, and distributors. As a hands‑on mentor, you’ll review code, drive architectural decisions, and collaborate with product and QA.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience building Java-based backend systems in production.
• Strong understanding of object-oriented design, microservices, and RESTful services.
• Experience with Spring Boot, Java 11+, and testing frameworks (JUnit, Mockito).
• Solid foundation in RDBMS (PostgreSQL preferred) and familiarity with NoSQL databases.
• Experience with Git, Maven, and modern IDEs; incorporating AI into development.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy high-quality backend solutions using Java (Spring Boot, microservices).
• Conduct code reviews, contribute to design discussions, support QA, and mentor other developers.
• Translate complex business needs into scalable technical solutions with product stakeholders.
• Integrate AI into solutions and promote AI-first approaches to accelerate delivery.
• Evaluate and adopt emerging technologies to add value to the platform.
• Promote best practices in performance, scalability, observability, and security with DevOps.
