Job summary

EXANTE, a global wealth-tech company, is seeking an experienced Senior Java Developer to build and maintain backend trading ecosystems. You will design microservices in Java 17+, enhance libraries, and ensure performance and reliability of critical services while collaborating across product and engineering teams.

Requirements include a Bachelor’s degree in CS, 5+ years in Java, and experience with RESTful APIs, gRPC, PostgreSQL, Kafka, and cloud-native platforms.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in Java development.
• Understanding of software design principles and patterns.
• Experience with building RESTful APIs and microservices architecture.
• Experience with binary protocols (e.g., gRPC).
• Experience with SQL databases (PostgreSQL) and messages brokers (e.g., Kafka).
• Experience with NoSQL databases (Redis, Cassandra, Clickhouse, etc) is a plus.
• Experience with popular Java frameworks (Spring, Micronaut, Quarkus, etc) and libraries.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop microservices in Java (17 or later) as part of our backend system.
• Maintain and enhance existing Java libraries and internal frameworks.
• Troubleshoot and improve the performance and reliability of backend services.
• Write and maintain unit and integration tests.
• Collaborate with other engineers, product managers, and cross-functional teams.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest Java technologies and best practices.
