U.S. Bank is seeking a backend software engineer to design, develop, test, and maintain scalable backend services using Java, Spring Boot, and related technologies.

You will build RESTful APIs, support CI/CD, Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud-native development, and work across teams to deliver reliable financial software. The role emphasizes security, data protection, and performance, with opportunities to mentor engineers and participate in Agile ceremonies while exploring AI-assisted development

Qualificações

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
• 5–6 years of relevant experience.
• Strong hands-on experience with Java and Spring Boot for backend development.
• Experience with RESTful APIs, microservices, and Spring Framework.
• Knowledge of SQL, relational databases and NoSQL is a plus.
• Familiarity with Kafka and event-driven architectures.
• Experience with cloud platforms and scalable backend development.
• Proficiency in Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD, Git, and Maven/Gradle.
• Strong unit and automated testing (JUnit/Mockito).
• Experience in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Exposure to AI-assisted development tools.
