U.S. Bank in Irving, TX is seeking a skilled backend engineer to design, develop, and maintain scalable Java/Spring Boot services.

You will build RESTful APIs and microservices, collaborate with architects and product teams, and contribute to secure, robust, and high-performance banking software. You'll work in an Agile environment, support DevOps practices, and leverage modern tools such as Docker, Kubernetes, and Kafka.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
• Five to six years of relevant experience.
• Strong hands-on experience with Java and Spring Boot backend development.
• Experience designing RESTful APIs and microservices.
• Solid knowledge of SQL and relational databases; NoSQL experience is a plus.
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD, Git and Maven/Gradle.
• Strong unit testing with JUnit and Mockito.
• Experience with Kafka and event-driven architectures.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms and secure coding practices.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.

Responsabilidades

• Design, develop, test, deploy, and support scalable backend applications and services using Java and Spring Boot.
• Build and maintain RESTful APIs and microservices that support reliable, high-volume business applications.
• Provide technical leadership throughout the SDLC from design to production support.
• Develop solutions using Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Data, Spring Security.
• Design and support event-driven architectures using Kafka and messaging platforms.
• Develop apps that integrate with SQL/NoSQL databases for performance.
• Apply security, authentication, authorization, API security, and resiliency best practices.
• Build unit and automated tests using JUnit and Mockito to improve code quality.
• Support CI/CD, containerization, and cloud-native development with Git, Maven/Gradle, Docker, Kubernetes.
• Leverage GenAI tools while maintaining secure, responsible coding practices.
• Mentor engineers, conduct code reviews, and promote engineering standards.
• Identify opportunities to modernize apps, reduce debt, and improve efficiency.
• Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and design discussions.
