Job summary

Optomi is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to drive the transition from a single-cloud to a multi-cloud architecture. The role focuses on migrating backend functionality from Google Cloud Platform to Microsoft Azure, ensuring scalable and reliable solutions built with Java and REST APIs.

You will work in an agile team with DevOps automation and cloud-native services. Key responsibilities include designing cloud-native solutions, contributing to system architecture, and building robust CI/CD

Qualifications

7+ years of professional software engineering experience.
Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform and Microsoft Azure.
Strong experience designing and developing REST APIs.
Experience with CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, or deployment automation.
Ability to migrate or modernize applications across cloud environments.
Strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain Java-based backend services and REST APIs.
Support migration of applications and services from GCP to Azure.
Design cloud-native solutions across multiple cloud platforms.
Evaluate functionality and determine architectural approaches for Azure.
Contribute to API design, system architecture, and technical discussions.
Build and improve CI/CD pipelines, automation, and deployment processes.
Collaborate with engineers, DevOps, and product stakeholders in an agile environment.
Deploy, monitor, and support reliable backend systems.
Participate in on-call rotation after training.
