Job summary

Request Technology, LLC is recruiting a Java Backend Engineer for a highly regulated financial firm. You will apply Core Java, AWS, Kafka, and Kubernetes to build scalable microservices and support testing with JUnit and SonarQube in a Kubernetes-based stack.

This is a hybrid role: three days onsite, two days remote. Responsibilities include leading design reviews, driving test automation, and guiding CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins, Docker, Harness and Rancher.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Computer Science or related field.
• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience with production systems.
• Experience with distributed computing frameworks such as Kafka and REST APIs.

Responsibilities

• Design and write clean, maintainable Java code and troubleshoot complex issues.
• Lead design reviews, code reviews, and improve testing frameworks.
• Champion secure software delivery by integrating security findings and remediation.
• Own and improve CI/CD automation using Jenkins, Docker and Rancher.
• Mentor testing teams and drive automation framework adoption.
