Job summary

Luxoft in New Jersey is seeking a Senior Java Developer to join the Derivatives Development team. You will work on enterprise-grade backend applications using Core Java, Spring Framework, and messaging technologies in a hybrid remote environment, with duties spanning analysis, design and delivery.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years of Java backend experience, hands-on deployment knowledge, strong communication and stakeholder management, and the ability to juggle multiple priorities across BAU

Qualifications

• 10+ years of core Java server, back-end development experience.
• Experience with JDK 11 or 17.
• Experience with enterprise services, observability, configuration management and cloud deployment.
• Spring Framework and Spring Boot (incl. Actuator).
• Message-driven development (Kafka, ActiveMQ or similar).
• REST APIs with enterprise authentication.
• JMS (ActiveMQ or similar).
• MS SQL Server and/or Sybase experience.
• CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Git, SonarQube).
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management; strong problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Hands-on senior Java development with Spring and messaging technologies.
• Work with multiple business teams and provide work estimates.
• Develop system architectures, designs and concepts.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to the team.
• Design, build and configure applications to meet requirements.
• Participate in all phases of the software delivery lifecycle.
