Job summary

HTC Global Services, Inc. is seeking a backend engineer to develop and maintain server-side applications, including APIs and microservices, using Java and related technologies.

The role covers cloud or on-prem environments and involves collaboration with cross-functional teams and customers to understand requirements. The ideal candidate has 6+ years in IT with 4+ years in development, strong Java skills, and experience with RESTful services, Spring Boot, and cloud platforms such as AWS or GCP.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of IT experience with at least 4+ years in development.
• Proficient in Java 11/17+ and object-oriented backend design.
• Spring Boot experience preferred.
• AWS or GCP experience preferred.
• Experience building and deploying scalable RESTful microservices.
• Experience with database integrations and containerized deployments on cloud/on-premises.

Responsibilities

• Engage with customers to understand their use cases and requirements.
• Design, develop, and deliver backend services and APIs using Java and Python.
• Develop and maintain backend applications including APIs and microservices.
• Collaborate with frontend developers and cross-functional teams.
• Manage deployment to cloud or on-prem environments; monitor health and security.
