Job summary

HTC Global Services seeks a Java Software Engineer to design, build, and deploy cloud-native solutions on Google Cloud Platform (GCP). The role emphasizes resilient, scalable services and secure architectures across private and public clouds, collaborating with cross-functional teams to align with enterprise needs.

The position offers a hybrid work setup (4 days in the office) and requires experience with Spring Boot, RESTful APIs, and modern cloud tooling.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field.
• 3–5 years of development experience.
• At least 2–3 years with a microservices architecture.
• Expertise with Java, Spring, Spring Boot, JUnit, GCP, RESTful APIs.
• Experience with MongoDB, relational databases, and NoSQL solutions.
• GitHub for source control and CI/CD workflows.
• Jenkins CI/CD pipelines.
• Knowledge of IaC and cloud resource provisioning.
• Understanding of CD processes, testing frameworks, and tools like GitHub, Terraform, and Tekton.
• Experience with JSON, REST, Swagger, and Hoppscotch.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and deploy cloud-based infrastructure and managed services for private and public cloud environments.
• Design and deploy cloud environments aligned with enterprise architecture, security requirements, and business needs.
• Collaborate with architects, security teams, and product teams to deliver scalable, secure cloud infrastructure.
• Monitor cloud usage and forecast capacity needs.
• Develop IaC templates for provisioning and configuring cloud resources.
• Configure and manage cloud resources including identity services, VPCs, gateways, SSL, Kubernetes, and NoSQL stores.
• Integrate security and disaster recovery policies into cloud infrastructure.
• Develop and optimize cloud storage solutions for availability and cost efficiency.
• Support roadmaps, cloud cost optimization, and high availability across regions.
• Migrate on-premises services to cloud platforms.
• Develop Java-based services using Spring Boot and RESTful APIs.
• Code, test, and deploy features focusing on resilience and security.
• Create test plans, automate delivery, and improve deployment efficiency.
• Design API load-testing strategies and collaborate on threat modeling.
• Work with relational and NoSQL databases, data modeling, and performance tuning.
