Job summary

Insight Global is seeking a highly skilled Senior Java Backend Developer to build a brand-new cloud-native integration platform on Google Cloud Platform. This hands-on role focuses on scalable backend services, APIs, and event-driven integrations within a greenfield environment.

The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in Java microservices, Kafka-based architectures, MongoDB, and cloud-native development on GCP, with strong collaboration across engineering, product, and operations teams.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in Java backend development and microservices.
• Strong knowledge of Kafka-based event architectures.
• Experience with MongoDB and cloud-native development on GCP.
• Familiarity with Agile, DevOps, CI/CD, and IaC principles.
• Excellent collaboration with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with engineers, architects, product owners, and stakeholders to design enterprise API and event-driven integration solutions.
• Develop backend services and APIs in Java, with a focus on scalability and resilience.
• Implement cloud-native microservices on Google Cloud Platform and enable CI/CD pipelines.
• Build event-driven systems using Kafka and asynchronous messaging.
• Integrate with MongoDB Atlas and other enterprise data platforms.
• Develop automated testing strategies and implement observability (logging, monitoring, tracing).
• Maintain and evolve existing integration assets and cloud-hosted services.
• Partner with platform engineering and infrastructure teams to improve deployment automation, cloud operations, security, and reliability.
• Serve as a technical mentor on architecture and cloud-native best practices.
