Job summary

3Core Systems, Inc. is seeking a senior Java software engineer for a 12-month hybrid role in Peoria, IL. You will design, develop, test, and optimize backend services and databases, working in an Agile team with remote and on-site collaboration.

The ideal candidate brings 8+ years of Java development experience, strong AWS and database skills, and a proven track record delivering scalable software systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer science or Electrical engineering or related field.
• 8+ years of software development experience with Java and backend DB development.

Responsibilities

• Review and approve modification of existing databases and database management systems.
• Instruct staff to write and code logical and physical database descriptions and specify identifiers of database to management system.
• Direct database development and approve project scope and limitations.
• Review project requests describing database user needs to estimate time and cost.
• Plan, coordinate and implement security measures to safeguard information in computer files.
• Approve, schedule, plan and supervise installation and testing of new products and improvements to computer systems.
• Develop standards and guidelines to guide software use and acquisition and protect vulnerable information.
• Mentor and provide feedback to team members and work independently on complex processes.
