Job summary

Diversified Services Network, Inc. in Chicago or Peoria, IL seeks a Senior Software Engineer specializing in Java and AWS. The role blends hands-on development with system design across mobile, web, cloud, and server platforms.

You will join an Agile team and contribute to major modules and infrastructure releases, working with modern CI/CD and cloud services. Requires 8+ years in software engineering with Java and AWS, plus strong knowledge of databases, RESTful APIs, and microservices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field with 8+ years of experience
• Master's degree with 6+ years of experience
• Java-based software at scale with AWS experience and cloud deployments
• Experience with relational and NoSQL databases
• Strong knowledge of MVC, Microservices, and event-driven patterns
• CI/CD with Jenkins or Azure DevOps
• Agile/Scrum experience and collaboration in fast-paced teams

Responsibilities

• Perform programming, development, integration and system administration assignments with minimal supervision
• Design, code, test and debug high-complexity programs
• Configure and customize complex software solutions
• Provide leadership and guidance on projects and teams
• Handle complex problem identification and resolution including off-shift support
• Develop major system modules and infrastructure releases
• Conduct integrated and customer acceptance testing
• Assist customers with documentation and training
• Maintain knowledge of programming languages and architectural patterns
