Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent professional experience.
• 8+ years of experience building and operating production backend or full-stack services, with substantial Java experience.
• Ownership of backend services including design, implementation, deployment, and health.
• Proficiency in data structures, algorithms, system design (LLD), API design, and data modeling in Java-based systems.
• Hands-on experience with modern web technologies, frameworks, and microservices architectures on the backend; familiarity with AI-driven tools to boost productivity.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and evolve backend services and customer experiences in Java, including API design and data modeling.
• Implement high-quality backend code with observability and operational excellence across services and domains.
• Collaborate with product, design, and partner engineering teams to translate requirements into robust backend solutions.
• Own end-to-end lifecycle of backend services including development, testing, deployment, monitoring, and incident resolution.
• Apply data-driven approaches to prioritize work and optimize performance and reliability across Java systems.
• Safely integrate and operate AI/ML-enabled solutions to improve outcomes and guide safe AI tooling for code quality and operations.
