Tata Consultancy Services in Irving, TX seeks a Java Senior Lead to define architecture and system design, mentor teams, and drive microservices initiatives. You will craft high- and low-level designs guiding delivery from concept to production.

Responsibilities include leading backend design, database architecture, and RESTful services with Spring Boot, while applying SRE and Docker/Kubernetes practices. You will collaborate across teams, ensure code quality with unit tests, and document

Qualifications

8+ years of Java development experience.
Strong Spring Boot and backend architecture knowledge.
Designing RESTful APIs and microservices.
Experience with messaging systems such as Kafka or RabbitMQ.
Cloud experience across AWS, Azure, or GCP.
Hands-on with Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD tools.

Responsibilities

Lead backend design for scalable, maintainable systems following best practices.
Drive database architecture and optimization with focus on performance.
Collaborate across teams to implement integration solutions and data flows.
Apply SRE principles to improve reliability, performance, and availability.
Develop microservices with Spring Boot and RESTful APIs; ensure testability.
Produce documentation for each service and participate in Agile sprints.
Lead code reviews, mentoring, and coding tests.
Guide deployment using container orchestration and OpenShift where applicable.
