Tata Consultancy Services Limited in Sunnyvale, CA is seeking an Engineer in Technology to design and scale distributed backend systems. You will develop high-throughput RESTful APIs and microservices, optimize data persistence, and ensure robust security with authentication and authorization.

The role requires strong Java/Spring experience, knowledge of relational databases and ORM tools, and competence with build and test tools.

Qualifications

• Distributed systems design, load balancing and scalability.
• Strong data structures foundations and algorithms.
• Proficient in Java 17+ with multithreading and Collections.
• Hands-on Spring Boot, Spring Security and Spring Data JPA.
• Relational DBs (PostgreSQL/MySQL) with ORM experience.
• RESTful service design and third-party integrations.
• Experience with Maven/Gradle and JUnit/Mockito.
• Git mastery for branching, merging and PRs.

Responsibilities

• Architect and scale distributed backend systems for high traffic.
• Design, develop, and maintain high-throughput secure RESTful APIs and microservices.
• Optimize database schemas, write complex SQL queries and ORM persistence.
• Implement robust authentication and authorization mechanisms.
• Develop unit, integration and regression test suites.
• Package applications into containers and assist cloud deployments.
• Troubleshoot performance, memory leaks and query bottlenecks.
