Job summary

Cognizant Technology Solutions Corporation is seeking a Senior Full Stack Java & Azure Engineer for a remote US role. You will design and deliver secure, scalable cloud-native apps and collaborate across product, architecture, security, QE, DevOps, and operations teams.

You will build Java/Spring Boot APIs, Azure integrations, containerized workloads, and robust CI/CD pipelines while applying security-by-design and mentoring engineers on best practices.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering experience across modern web apps, APIs, data stores, and distributed systems.
• Strong hands-on experience with Java, Spring Boot, API development, and cloud-native design.
• Experience creating secure, maintainable, and testable software using OO principles and design patterns.
• Experience building cloud-native, containerized, event-driven solutions and asynchronous integrations.
• Strong DevSecOps experience across CI/CD, automated testing, code quality and security scanning.
• Experience with Microsoft Azure, IaC, secrets management and deployment promotion.
• Strong troubleshooting and observability across apps, integrations, data, pipelines, and cloud platforms.
• Ability to mentor engineers and provide technical leadership across cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and support secure, reliable software aligned with architecture and standards.
• Develop Java/Spring Boot APIs and Azure integrations, data-access components, and containerized workloads.
• Build and enhance CI/CD pipelines, automated tests, security checks, and repeatable deployment processes.
• Apply security-by-design across authentication, authorization, secrets management, and least-privilege access.
• Mentor engineers, provide code-review feedback, and establish reusable patterns and standards.
• Identify risks and roadblocks and collaborate with stakeholders to drive resolution.
