Job summary

Roku is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for the Enterprise Engineering team to design, build, and deploy scalable web applications and services powering critical business processes. You will own projects, drive architecture, and partner with security and compliance groups to ensure audit-ready solutions.

The role requires 5+ years delivering distributed web apps, strong architecture knowledge, and experience with microservices and IaC.

Qualifications

5+ years delivering multi‑tier, scalable, distributed web applications.
Strong understanding of software architecture and data structures.
Experience with test‑driven development and test automation.
Extensive experience developing microservices.
Experience with IaC workflows (Terraform etc.).
Proactive, self‑driven with strong trade‑off judgment.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science or equivalent.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and deploy scalable web applications and services.
Drive architecture discussions and own projects from inception to delivery.
Collaborate with security and compliance teams to meet requirements.
Improve engineering tools, cloud technologies, and processes.
Participate in Agile processes including estimation, coding, and reviews.
Collaborate with cross‑functional teams and communicate effectively.
Develop and maintain microservices using modern frameworks and cloud‑native tech.
Implement Infrastructure as Code workflows for reliable deployments.
