Job summary

Broadridge is seeking a Sr. Lead Software Engineer (Java) to design, develop, and implement scalable cloud-based solutions. You will mentor engineers, drive architecture decisions, and collaborate with internal teams and partners to deliver reliable, high-quality applications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• 8–10+ years of hands-on software development experience.
• Proficiency in Java, Node.js, and Python.
• Strong AWS cloud experience, especially API Gateway, Lambda, Glue, DynamoDB, Elasticsearch, S3, and EC2.
• Experience with API security, authentication, and API management best practices.
• Experience with PostgreSQL and query optimization.
• Familiarity with Angular and modern front-end frameworks is a plus.
• Solid CI/CD, DevOps, and related tooling experience.
• Experience leading teams and mentoring engineers.

Responsibilities

• Lead software development initiatives by writing well-structured, maintainable code and conducting thorough code reviews.
• Design and implement AWS-based serverless architectures with scalability, performance, and security.
• Utilize AWS services such as Lambda, API Gateway, Glue, DynamoDB, Elasticsearch, S3, and EC2 to build cloud-native applications.
• Develop and optimize data processing workflows, including batch processing pipelines and event-driven computing.
• Migrate on‑premises applications into AWS using serverless and microservices patterns.
• Mentor junior engineers and foster technical excellence.
• Design and implement CI/CD pipelines using Git, Terraform, and configuration tools (Chef).
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align architecture, development, and operations.
