Job summary

Strong Java, Spring, and microservices experience are essential. The role requires hands-on leadership, modern software practices (TDD, DDD), and expertise in CI/CD with Jenkins, plus solid SQL skills and secure coding.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree required or equivalent experience.
• 9 years of hands-on Java development in a distributed system.
• Advanced proficiency in Java; backend focus; ION and financial services experience preferred.
• Spring Boot, Spring JPA, and REST APIs; SOA and microservices architectures.
• Cloud computing concepts; TDD; DDD.
• CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins; strong SQL and relational databases.
• Secure coding practices to protect against cyberthreats and vulnerabilities.
• Ability to design and troubleshoot large-scale, high-availability systems.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Act as a senior hands-on developer across multiple complex application initiatives.
• Lead technical analysis, design, development, and maintenance of complex software applications and components.
• Provide advanced expertise in troubleshooting complex applications, system, and performance issues.
• Design, implement, and support system enhancements, refactoring, and modernization efforts.
• Research, evaluate, and implement solutions for performance monitoring, tuning, scalability, and system configuration.
• Drive the development and maintenance of automated test suites and QA practices.
• Contribute to technical design and architectural decisions for complex projects.
• Accurately estimate effort, identify risks, and help plan delivery milestones.
• Mentor and provide technical guidance to associate and mid-level developers.
• Partner with architects, product owners, and business stakeholders to achieve key objectives.
